Wayfarer’s Walk

Wayfarer’s Walk

Length >60km
Max transport gap >20km

A walk of 113km across Hampshire between Inkpen Beacon and Emsworth.

Public transport links (17 locations, 1 matrix) are to be found at key staging points along the way. Southampton might serve as a base station for the southern section: in the north, bus links do not easily coalesce around a single point.

Observations

Walkers should note gaps of about 20km and 25km in the mid-section. Furthermore, a southbound walker faces an extra 2km and an ascent of 120m to reach Inkpen Beacon from the nearest bus stop (Rolf’s Farm, Upper Green).
