Max transport gap <20km
A walk of 44km between Abingdon and Longcot.
The route passes through Abingdon, Wantage, Stanford in the Vale, and Faringdon, all of which have public transport connections. West of Faringdon, the bus service (to and from Swindon) runs to the north of the route.
Walkers should be aware that the routecards (linked as “detail” from the above link) are minimalist to an exceptional degree. A generous map corridor must be carried, and a compass will be of great help in determining the route and any escape to a main road or bus stop.
