Public transport connections (42 locations, 3 matrices) are available at key staging points along the route: there is one gap of almost 20km and one of just over 10km.

Observations

Walkers should note that a significant proportion of the route is undertaken on hard surfaces — roads, parkland, forest rides and towpaths. There is a curious reluctance to take up the option of a field-path route nearby: is this deliberate pilgrim penance, or a wish to keep backup cars in sight?
