Public transport connections (36 locations, 2 matrices) are available throughout. Chelmsford and Great Dunmow may share the status of base stations.

Observations

Walkers should be aware of challenges on this route in 2021, when there was significant overgrowth in places, and waymarking which was either missing or perverse in many instances.
