Railway Children Walk

Railway Children Walk

Length <20km
Max transport gap <10km

A 9km circuit (within a few metres of being a figure-of-eight) between Oxenhope, Haworth and Oakworth stations on the Keighley and Worth Valley heritage railway line, linking locations used in the 1970 film version of The Railway Children, by E Nesbit.

Observations

Walkers should note that the use of a car to reach this walk is decidedly unfriendly, since the narrow streets were not built for the mass tourism of Brontë and railway fanatics. If you must park in the area, do so in Keighley and arrive on the walk by bus or train.

An attempt was made to source a link from Bradford council, but there was nothing of the quality of the link above: what there was contains errors and ambiguities.
