Offa’s Dyke Path

Tintern Abbey from Devil’s Pulpit

Llwybr Clawdd Offa
Offa’s Dyke Path

Length >60km
Max transport gap >20km

A walk of 286km between Chepstow and Prestatyn.

The route follows (approximately) the line of Offa’s Dyke. Public transport links (36 locations, 2 matrices) are available at key staging points, but there are some gaps which will challenge some walkers. The nature of the route makes for difficulties in establishing multi-day base stations.

In the Clwydian Hills, bus stops are available, but some distance from the route and mainly to the west. Farther south, the crossing of the Black Mountains will rely on buses out of Hereford.
