The route takes in Cannock Chase, slots between Coventry and Birmingham, and extends to the brink of the Cotswold Hills. There are public transport connections (29 locations, 2 matrices) at key staging points along the route. Lichfield and Stratford-upon-Avon make the best arguments as base stations, but most of the route is easily accessible from Birmingham.
