The following walks are (at least in part) suitable using Edinburgh as a transport node. The Fife Coastal Path is eminently feasible as far as Kirkcaldy, and only the area around Fife Ness and west of the Tay Bridge present (not insurmountable) challenges. The Berwickshire Coast Path is all accessible from Edinburgh. as is the John Muir Way, with the possible exception of the stretch between Balloch and Croy. The Borders Abbeys Way is easily accessible from Edinburgh between Selkirk and Melrose: other sections are feasible but will need significant travel to/from daily start/end points.
