We have grouped the walks in the first instance using the UK Government’s economic regions, splitting Scotland and Wales into two each for practical purposes. A walk will appear in any region it crosses, not just in the region where its conventional “startpoint” is situated. If you are searching near the edge of one of these regions, be sure to look across the boundary to neighbouring regions.
In addition, we are building collections of walks in logistically sensible groupings, including some travel-to-walk nodes, and we have an astonishing list of over 1200 public transport connections (also indicating gaps) along the 5600km coastal paths of England and Wales.
